Can we safely zap more cancer spots? new study pushes radiation limits

NCT ID NCT06978296

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is for people with advanced prostate cancer that has spread to bones or lymph nodes and is no longer responding to standard treatments. Researchers want to find the largest total volume of cancer spots that can be safely treated with a precise type of radiation called stereotactic radiotherapy (SRT). The goal is to see if treating more cancer at once can delay pain and complications without causing severe side effects. About 18 participants will receive gradually increasing volumes of radiation to determine the safest limit.
