New ultrasound tech challenges MRI for prostate screening
NCT ID NCT06626022
Summary
This study aims to find out if a newer, high-resolution micro-ultrasound is as good as the current standard MRI for detecting prostate cancer that needs treatment. About 1,300 men aged 50-70 will be randomly assigned to get one of the two imaging tests. The goal is to see which test is more effective at helping doctors decide if a follow-up biopsy is necessary.
