Genetic risk score may predict prostate cancer in biopsy patients

NCT ID NCT05295407

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a simple genetic test can help predict if a man has prostate cancer before he gets a biopsy. Researchers will compare the test results with actual biopsy findings in 1,000 men aged 40-69. The goal is to see if men at higher genetic risk are more likely to have cancer, which could help doctors decide who really needs a biopsy.
