Could three radiation doses be safer than five for prostate cancer?
NCT ID NCT06914544
First seen May 06, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study is testing a new, shorter course of radiation therapy for men with early-stage prostate cancer. Instead of the usual five sessions, doctors will give just three high-dose treatments. The goal is to see if this approach causes fewer long-term side effects in the bladder and bowel while still controlling the cancer. About 175 men will take part in this phase II trial.
