Major trial aims to halt prostate cancer spread with targeted radiation blitz

NCT ID NCT07426094

Summary

This trial is for men whose prostate cancer has spread to nearby pelvic lymph nodes but not further. It aims to find the best way to use high-dose, targeted radiation to control the disease and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the body. The study will compare focusing extra radiation on the prostate itself versus boosting both the prostate and the affected lymph nodes. All participants will receive a short, intensive course of radiation to the whole pelvis along with standard hormone therapy.
