Proton therapy vs. proton therapy plus hormones: which works better for prostate cancer?
NCT ID NCT01492972
Summary
This study aims to determine whether adding hormone therapy to proton beam radiation provides better results than radiation alone for men with intermediate-risk prostate cancer. Researchers will compare two treatment approaches: a shorter course of proton radiation versus the same radiation combined with hormone-blocking drugs. The study will measure how well each approach controls the cancer and what side effects patients experience.
