Targeted proton blast tested for tough prostate cancers

NCT ID NCT06591819

First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 10, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study is testing a shorter, more intense course of targeted radiation therapy for men with high-risk or aggressive intermediate-risk prostate cancer. It combines two radiation techniques—proton therapy to the pelvis and a high-dose internal boost—to try to better control the cancer. The main goal is to see if this approach is safe and causes acceptable side effects while also checking if it keeps PSA levels low.
