Light therapy could offer new option for prostate cancer patients

Summary
This early-stage study tests a new treatment for prostate cancer that hasn't spread. It uses a special light-sensitive drug and laser fibers placed into the prostate to destroy cancer cells. About 43 men will take part, and researchers will check safety and how well the treatment works over 18 months.
