Zapping muscle weakness: can electrical stimulation help prostate cancer patients fight treatment side effects?
NCT ID NCT05745844
Summary
This study is testing whether adding electrical muscle stimulation to a standard exercise program helps prostate cancer patients maintain leg strength while on hormone therapy. Researchers will compare two groups of patients—one doing exercise alone and one doing exercise plus muscle stimulation—to see which approach better preserves muscle strength over six months. The goal is to find better ways to manage the muscle weakness and fatigue that often come with this type of cancer treatment.
