Scientists hunt for hidden gut clues in prostate cancer treatment

NCT ID NCT04775355

Summary

This study aims to understand how the bacteria in the gut and urine change when men with prostate cancer receive hormone-blocking therapy and radiation. Researchers will collect stool and urine samples from 30 participants before, during, and after their standard treatment to see if these bacterial changes are linked to treatment side effects. The goal is to gather information that might one day help improve patients' quality of life, but this study itself does not provide a treatment.
