First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special contrast agent, called hyperpolarized 13-C pyruvate, can help MRI scanners find prostate cancer more clearly. About 130 men with prostate cancer will receive this contrast before an MRI. The goal is to see if this method improves detection of tumors that standard scans might miss.
