Scientists track how family history affects prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT05810467

Summary

This study aims to understand how genetic risk factors affect prostate cancer progression in men who are being monitored rather than immediately treated. Researchers will follow 200 men with low-risk prostate cancer who are on active surveillance, comparing those with higher genetic risk to those without. The goal is to learn whether genetic risk helps predict which cancers might progress faster, potentially improving future monitoring strategies.
