Summary

This study looked at how well two drugs (apalutamide and abiraterone) work in Black and White men with advanced prostate cancer that has spread and is no longer responding to hormone therapy. About 93 men took part. The goal was to see if the drugs could delay cancer growth and lower PSA levels. The study also checked for side effects like high blood pressure. The drugs are taken daily and are meant to control the disease, not cure it.
