Could MRI scans replace risky biopsies for prostate checks?

NCT ID NCT07180381

Summary

This study is testing a new approach for men at moderate risk of prostate cancer. Instead of getting an immediate biopsy, participants are monitored for up to four years using regular blood tests (PSA) and MRI scans. The goal is to see if this strategy can safely reduce unnecessary biopsies and overtreatment while still catching serious cancers in time.
