New gene therapy aims to boost immune attack on prostate cancer

NCT ID NCT07332000

Summary

This study is testing a new gene therapy approach for men with intermediate-risk prostate cancer who are scheduled for radiation treatment. The therapy involves injecting a modified virus into the prostate, followed by taking an oral antiviral pill, to try to kill cancer cells and stimulate the body's immune system. Researchers will primarily track where the therapy goes in the body and measure immune system changes to understand how it works.
