Grape seed extract trial for prostate cancer halted early

NCT ID NCT02946996

Summary

This study tested whether a grape seed extract called OPC could reduce certain food-related substances (AGEs) in the blood of prostate cancer patients receiving hormone therapy. Researchers wanted to see if lowering AGE levels might help control cancer. The trial was terminated early after enrolling 41 men, and many planned measurements like quality of life surveys weren't completed due to staff changes.
