First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study compares a standardized active surveillance protocol to usual care for men with low-risk prostate cancer. The goal is to see if a clear plan for repeat biopsies and treatment triggers can reduce overtreatment and side effects without increasing the risk of cancer spread or death. About 2,000 men with recently diagnosed, low-risk prostate cancer are taking part.
