New ultrasound tech challenges MRI for prostate cancer detection
NCT ID NCT05220501
Summary
This study compared two imaging methods for guiding prostate biopsies in men suspected of having prostate cancer. Researchers tested whether a new, high-resolution micro-ultrasound could find significant cancers as well as or better than the current standard MRI method. The goal was to see which imaging approach helps doctors take more accurate biopsy samples.
