NCT ID NCT07253714

First seen Dec 12, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether special neck exercises could improve body awareness, reduce fear of movement, and lessen negative thoughts about pain in older adults with sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss) living in nursing homes. Thirty-one participants were split into two groups: one did standard exercises, and the other added neck proprioceptive exercises. After six weeks, researchers measured how accurately participants could sense their neck position, their fear of moving, and their tendency to catastrophize pain.
