First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at whether different starting doses of the oral medication propranolol can help heal ulcers (sores) that form on infantile hemangiomas, a common type of birthmark. About 40 children with these ulcers will be treated and followed to see how quickly the sores heal and how the birthmark responds over 6 months. The goal is to find the safest and most effective dose to reduce pain and scarring.
