New study aims to find best dose of heart drug to heal painful baby birthmarks

Summary

This study looks at how well different starting doses of the oral drug propranolol heal ulcers in infantile hemangioma (a type of birthmark). About 40 children with ulcerated hemangiomas will receive either a standard or higher initial dose. The main goal is to see which dose leads to faster ulcer healing, while also monitoring side effects.
