Summary

This study tests if the drug propranolol can safely and quickly resolve chylothorax—a serious fluid leak in the chest—after open heart surgery in children with congenital heart disease. About 50 children aged 7 days to 18 years will receive either propranolol or a placebo to see who responds best and why. The goal is to shorten hospital stays and improve recovery.
