New study aims to calm kids after surgery: propofol vs lidocaine

Summary

This study compares two medicines, propofol and lidocaine, to see which better reduces agitation when children wake up from tonsillectomy surgery. About 82 children aged 4 to 7 will take part. The goal is to find a way to make recovery smoother and less distressing for young patients.
