First seen Jan 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study looked at whether simple tools like special placemats and a reward card could encourage children aged 4-8 to choose healthier kids' meals at fast-food restaurants. Over 500 families took part across six restaurant locations. The goal was to see if these small changes could help kids order and eat fewer calories, less sugar, and less fat when eating out.
