Summary
This study compares two treatments for plantar fasciitis, a common cause of heel pain. One treatment, prolotherapy, involves injecting a sugar solution to help the tissue heal. The other, extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), uses sound waves to stimulate healing. The study will enroll 60 adults with heel pain lasting more than 3 months and measure pain and foot function over 12 weeks.
