Fertility study tests progesterone boost for IUI success

NCT ID NCT07508657

First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether taking progesterone after intrauterine insemination (IUI) can increase the chance of pregnancy in women who used letrozole for ovarian stimulation. About 690 women at four Danish fertility clinics will be randomly assigned to receive either vaginal progesterone or no extra treatment. The main goal is to see if progesterone leads to more pregnancies with a visible heartbeat at 7-9 weeks.
