Fertility researchers seek best progesterone formula for IVF success
NCT ID NCT04499131
Summary
This study aimed to find the best dose and delivery method of progesterone, a hormone used to prepare the uterus for embryo transfer in fertility treatments. Researchers compared how different progesterone treatments (vaginal, injection, or under-skin) affected the uterine lining in 109 healthy women aged 18-35. The study measured hormone levels and examined uterine tissue samples to understand which approach creates the most receptive environment for pregnancy, though actual embryo transfers weren't performed.
