New shot vs gel: race to boost IVF pregnancy success
NCT ID NCT04549116
Summary
This study compares two ways of giving progesterone, a hormone needed to support early pregnancy, to women undergoing frozen embryo transfer for infertility. About 680 women aged 35-42 will receive either a new subcutaneous (under the skin) injection or a standard vaginal gel. Researchers want to see if the injection is as safe and effective as the gel at helping pregnancies continue successfully.
