Summary
This study tested whether giving pregnant Latina women money to buy fruits and vegetables, along with nutrition education, could improve their diets and reduce food insecurity. Researchers worked with 154 low-income women in Hartford, CT, providing monthly funds for produce over 10 months. The goal was to see if easier access to healthy foods during pregnancy leads to better eating habits.
