Doctors prescribe veggies to fight disease in rural families

NCT ID NCT07221045

Summary

This study is testing a 'produce prescription' program that provides fresh fruits and vegetables to families in rural North Carolina. It aims to see if this approach can help families eat healthier, improve food security, and lower risks for conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. The pilot program will involve 30 adult-child pairs to measure changes in diet and health.
