First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study is for people with a change in the GBA1 gene, which raises the risk of Parkinson's disease. Researchers will use 15 simple, non-invasive tests to look for very early signs of Parkinson's that can appear up to 20 years before symptoms start. The goal is to create a model that identifies who is most at risk, so they can join future prevention trials. The study includes 600 participants: GBA1 carriers, people with Gaucher disease, and healthy volunteers.
