Gut bacteria tested as new weapon against arthritis pain
NCT ID NCT07364578
Summary
This study is testing whether adding probiotic supplements to standard osteoarthritis care can help reduce pain, stiffness, and improve daily function. Researchers are enrolling 146 adults with knee osteoarthritis to compare probiotics plus standard care against standard care alone. The goal is to see if these 'good gut bacteria' can provide additional relief for people living with this chronic joint condition.
