Summary
This study tested whether a daily probiotic drink (Probimel) could slow the hardening of blood vessels in people with advanced chronic kidney disease. 84 adults with kidney disease stages 3b-5 took either the probiotic or a placebo for 6 months. Researchers measured changes in blood vessel calcification, kidney function, and related health markers.
