Summary
This study tested whether taking a probiotic powder for 6 months could improve blood sugar and kidney health in people with diabetic kidney disease. Fifty adults with type 2 diabetes and early-stage kidney problems took part. The goal was to see if changing gut bacteria with probiotics could reduce kidney damage and help control diabetes.
