Gut health boost for kids with CP? study tests probiotics for constipation relief
NCT ID NCT07393256
Summary
This study tested whether daily probiotic supplements could help children with cerebral palsy who suffer from chronic constipation. For 28 days, children took either a Lactobacillus reuteri supplement, a Lactobacillus rhamnosus supplement with a prebiotic, or received standard care. Researchers measured changes in bowel movement frequency, stool consistency, and weight gain to see if the probiotics were safe and effective.
