First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a daily probiotic supplement to 180 healthy, full-term babies born by C-section can prevent common digestive problems like colic, spitting up, and irregular stools. The babies will receive either one of two probiotic blends or a placebo for the first 90 days of life. Researchers will track growth, stool patterns, and gut bacteria to see if the probiotics help establish a healthier digestive system.
