Gut bacteria boost could help dialysis patients fight anemia
NCT ID NCT07296146
Summary
This study is testing whether adding probiotic supplements to standard anemia treatment helps kidney disease patients on dialysis. Researchers want to see if probiotics make the main anemia drug (erythropoietin) work better for 80 adult patients. Participants will take either the standard drug alone or the drug plus probiotics daily for three months while having regular checkups.
