First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking a specific probiotic (Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus CRL1505) every day can reduce or prevent upper respiratory infections like colds and flu in healthy children aged 3 to 12. About 268 kids will be randomly assigned to receive either the probiotic or a placebo for 12 weeks, then followed for another 16 weeks. Researchers will track how many children get sick and how often.
