Scientists probe probiotic power for tiniest patients
NCT ID NCT07213414
Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific three-strain probiotic supplement affects the gut bacteria and health of premature babies in the intensive care unit. Researchers will compare 72 infants who receive the probiotic to those who do not, analyzing their stool samples to see changes in bacteria and related compounds. The goal is to gather detailed information to see if this probiotic could be recommended as a helpful addition to care for these vulnerable infants.
