Scientists hunt for super probiotics in your gut
NCT ID NCT07198984
Summary
This study aims to discover specific probiotic bacteria that can increase a beneficial gut compound called butyrate, which is linked to better digestion and reduced inflammation. Researchers will analyze stool samples from 25 healthy adults to identify and study these bacteria. The goal is to gather knowledge that could later be used to develop new probiotic products, but this study itself does not test any treatments on participants.
