Summary

This study tested whether a specific probiotic bacteria, taken as a food supplement, could help regulate body metabolism and improve gut health in overweight or obese adults. It involved 110 participants who were randomly assigned to receive either the probiotic or a placebo pill. The main goal was to see if the supplement changed levels of certain hormones in the blood related to appetite and metabolism.
