Probiotic drink trial for MS shows promise in small study

NCT ID NCT07304713

First seen Jan 03, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested whether people with multiple sclerosis (MS) could take a probiotic drink daily for 12 weeks and if they found it acceptable. 29 participants drank 70ml of the probiotic each day, completed online questionnaires about symptoms and quality of life, and provided stool samples. The main goal was to see if this approach is practical for a larger future trial, not to prove the probiotic works.
