Could a daily probiotic pill help save Diabetics' eyesight?
NCT ID NCT07383701
Summary
This study is testing whether a probiotic supplement can help control diabetic macular edema, a swelling in the back of the eye that can cause vision loss. 36 adults with this condition will take the probiotic pill twice a day for four months. Researchers will check if the eye swelling decreases, vision improves, and if patients need fewer standard eye injections.
