Tiny test: can we tell which preemies benefit from a common lung drug?
NCT ID NCT05898022
Summary
This was a small, completed pilot study to gather information for designing a future, larger trial. It tested a method to see which premature babies with a chronic lung disease (BPD) have a short-term positive response to a water pill called furosemide. The study also checked if parents and doctors would be willing to enroll babies in a longer 3-month trial comparing the drug to a placebo.
