One nurse, one patient: does this simple change fix hospital care?
NCT ID NCT07474922
Summary
This study tested a new way of organizing nursing care called the 'primary nursing model,' where one main nurse is assigned to plan and coordinate a patient's entire hospital stay. Researchers trained nurses in this method and then measured its effects over six months on things like missed care, nurse job satisfaction, and how happy patients were with their nursing care. The goal was to see if this approach leads to better outcomes for both nurses and the patients they care for.
