Summary
This study tested whether platelet-rich fibrin (PRF), made from a patient's own blood, can help regrow gum and bone tissue damaged by periodontitis. 60 adults with deep gum pockets received either standard surgery or surgery plus PRF. Researchers measured changes in pocket depth and bone fill over 6 months to see if PRF improves healing.
