Blood-Derived face cream boosts skin hydration in small trial
NCT ID NCT07359924
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study tested whether a face cream containing platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) — made from a person's own blood — could improve skin aging. Twenty healthy volunteers aged 20 to 40 used three different creams on their face for four weeks. The PRF cream improved skin hydration, elasticity, and barrier function more than a plain cream or one with growth factor alone.
