First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to treat severe headaches that can happen after a spinal tap or epidural. Doctors used a special injection made from the patient's own blood (plasma-rich fibrin) delivered through a thin tube near the spine. The goal was to see if this treatment could relieve the headache and reduce the time patients need to stay in bed. The study included 60 adults aged 18 to 65 who had severe post-dural puncture headaches.
