Computer helps kids breathe stronger, get off ventilators faster
NCT ID NCT03266016
Summary
This study tested a new computer-based system called REDvent to help children on breathing machines. The system monitors a child's breathing effort and adjusts the ventilator to keep their breathing muscles working normally. Researchers wanted to see if this approach could prevent muscle weakness and help children get off the ventilator sooner.
