Summary
This study tests whether taking Flomax (tamsulosin) daily for a week before chest surgery can prevent urinary retention—a common problem where men can't urinate after the operation. About 127 men aged 50 and older having minimally invasive chest surgery will participate. The goal is to reduce the need for a bladder catheter, which can cause pain, infection, and longer hospital stays.
