New mouth therapy aims to save taste for cancer patients

NCT ID NCT07431346

Summary

This study tests a 4-week preventive program to help head and neck cancer patients keep their sense of taste during radiation or chemotherapy. 80 patients will be split into two groups: one will receive special mouth exercises, cold therapy, and taste training, while the other receives standard care. The goal is to see if this early intervention can reduce taste loss, improve nutrition, and maintain quality of life during and after cancer treatment.
